They went out for ice-cream and promised to bring her some. But they broke their promise and never came back. Kelly was angry at them, at the drunk driver who killed them, and at the world for taking away her parents. It wasn’t fair. Everyone else has parents. Why was God punishing her?

Kelly carries her anger around her like a shield, keeping anyone away who wants to get close. She likes her anger. It makes her powerful and strong. She doesn’t need anybody.

There are hundreds of reasons people end up on the street, and “I chose to” isn’t one of them. You can help people like Kelly. With your support, we can provide the counselling, treatment and community she needs to overcome homelessness.
