As one of your neighbours, I first came to work at Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre 20 years ago as a social worker. I have raised two sons, enjoy painting and gardening. I look forward to learning more about you.
During my twenty-years’ experience working in East Village, I have witnessed the neighbourhood’s evolution – everything from subtle trends to significant developments. While the King Edward Hotel, Billingsgate Seafood Market and BJ’s Gym have closed, some things remain the same.
East Village has always been a kind and compassionate community where neighbours connect, get to know one another and deepen ties. It’s a colourful community where I walk my dog and know many neighbour’s names. As the neighbourhood evolves and refreshes, I am confident that we can grow together and maintain our sense of community.
When you are settled, please visit Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre. I welcome an opportunity to meet you, to tell you know more about our work and to arrange a tour of our main facility. My door is always open. You can call me at 403-699-8270.
On behalf of all your neighbours residing at the Calgary Drop-In Centre, I extend a warm welcome to you and your family. I hope you are already starting to feel at home in our cherished East Village neighbourhood.
