Community Clean Team

A clean neighborhood is a healthy one

The Community Clean Teams were created for people to get together and contribute to the community in positive ways.  Clients from the DI together with Community Volunteers take this opportunity to show that we are an important part of this community and that we care about how the streets look in this great city. Let’s be clean together!

Number of Volunteers Needed	2 – 20 volunteers needed*Special arrangement can be made for larger groups*Families are welcome to participate
Volunteer times	We suggest a minimum one-hour commitment for this activity.
Description	This activity takes place outdoors and offsite once a week. Staff, clients and volunteers participate together.The DI supplies garbage bags, plastic disposable gloves and garbage pickers.The goal of this activity is to help keep Calgary clean, especially the area around the DI. We pick garbage and get a nice walk too!
Duties and Responsibilities	Wear walking shoes Bring warm gloves or work gloves Dress for the weather Have fun This activity does take place rain or shine however, it will be cancelled for severe weather.
Locations	This activity takes place outdoors in the surrounding areas of the DI.
Training and Supervision	No training required.The staff, clients and coordinators participate in this activity on a weekly basis and will be with you for guidance.
