About the Program
There are 3 Employment Training initiatives offered:
- Free 3-Week Employment Training
- Free Evening Online Certifications
- Free Certification Only Forklift and First Aid
All students will also have access to the DI Employment Office for temporary work opportunities.
Free 3-Week Employment Training
The 3-Week CTI program is a holistic approach to employment preparation. It is an intensive program that gives 14 students the opportunity to network and work together to achieve success. The main components of the program include Industry Certifications, Employment Strategies, Life Skills workshops and Computer Training. To apply, fill out part 1 of the CTI Application Form, print out the form and either drop it off at the main floor security desk or fax it in to us at 403-234-0677.

Free Evening Online Certifications
For those who cannot commit to the full time 3-week program, The DI offers evening certifications on a first-come-first-serve basis. These are offered every Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:30pm-8:30pm. For any questions, feel free to call 403-699-8282.
Free Certification Only Forklift and First Aid
The DI also offers stand-alone Forklift and First Aid courses once every month. These are high demand courses and require individuals to fill out part 2 of the Application Form and either drop it off at the main floor security desk or fax it in to us at 403-234-0677. Priority is given to low-income individuals and all are required to take a literacy test. For any questions, contact 403-699-8282.
