Hygiene Office
Our salon helps clients feel good about themselves.
When homeless, maintaining good personal hygiene can be challenging. The DI provides clients free access to showers, including donated hygiene products such as shampoo and conditioner, soap, lotion, razor and shaving cream, tooth brushes and tooth paste, towels, feminine hygiene products.
Hours of Operation
- seven days a week (8:00 am – noon, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm) Riverfront Avenue, Second floor
For those utilizing our Emergency and Intox sleeping facilities, as well as individuals not staying with the DI, showers can be booked through the Hygiene Office throughout the day.
Clients resident on the 4th and 5th Floor may access showers on their residential floors during evening hours, 5:00PM – 6:00AM.
Clients resident on all other floors may access showers on their residential floors on an as needed basis.
Showers are available at Centre 2507 during regular operating hours, 6:30PM – 5:30AM.

Donations may be dropped off at the Loading Dock of the Riverfront Building.
Laundry
The DI Offers on-site laundry facilities and service.
To assist clients in maintaining proper hygiene, twelve washers and dryers are available free of charge at the Riverfront building for individual use.
Appointments can be made through the Hygiene Office on the 2nd floor of the Riverfront Building.
In addition, laundry facilities are available on-site at Centre 2507.
