Furniture Program

The DI maintains a furniture warehouse in McCall Park NE, where all donations of furniture and household items are stored. Once a week, the warehouse is open to viewing by clients moving into their own apartments, as well as families referred by other agencies. Individuals are permitted to tag items for personal use which are then delivered the following day free of charge, by DI staff.

The purpose of the Furniture Program is to help those in need furnish a private residence without incurring additional costs. Items individuals can choose from include, couches, chairs, tables and chair sets, coffee tables, beds, dressers, lamps, dishes, knick-nacks.

Since its inception in 1999, the Furniture Program has assisted hundreds of individuals and families in furnishing their homes.

Individuals wishing to donate items are asked to call 403-699-8293 to arrange for pick-up or drop-off of furniture and household items.
