Terry Pettigrew celebrates Mardi Gras at Bookers with his DI Family

I have had the pleasure of knowing Terry for almost 4 years. Terry often shares travel stories, and his wish to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras.

Recently, a wonderful Christmas gift was given to Terry that enabled him to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Unfortunately, Terry’s health took a swing for the worse, Terry’s cancer worsened, and his trip was cancelled.

Recently, a wonderful Christmas gift was given to Terry that enabled him to go to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Unfortunately, Terry’s health took a swing for the worse, Terry’s cancer worsened, and his trip was cancelled.

That did not stop us from bringing Mardi Gras to Terry.

A huge party was thrown on Terry’s behalf at Bookers BBQ and Grill, Mardi Gras Style. There was good company, lots of love and heavenly food to be enjoyed by all who came.

Terry was in style. He was met at the door by the caring staff of Bookers. They decked him out with beads, a feather boa and a feather mask. He was looking like he was ready to party! The food came out, and the love flowed in.

Terry laughed, cried, and laughed again.

Terry, who often sat quiet with his head in his hands, commented over and over on how much he enjoyed and loved his special celebration. He shared that he was touched with everyone’s presence and well wishes for him.

It was a night in which I will never forget. Party on Terry!
