Help-Portrait Photography

On Saturday December 8 from 10am to 4pm, Help-Portrait Photography is not taking photos of homeless Calgarians, they are giving homeless Calgarians their portrait free of charge at the Calgary Drop-In & Rehab Centre.

Poverty steals a lot of things, like your house and car and food, but it also steals something from the inside. Help-Portrait feeds that something on the inside.

A client from the 2010 Help-Portrait Calgary event said: “Whenever I’m down on myself, I’m going to pull out this picture and remind myself how lucky I am.  You captured me in a way that I don’t see myself.”

“We hope to provide over one-thousand prints to those less fortunate in Calgary”, says Domenica Anderson, Lead Organizer, Help-Portrait Photography.  “I am honoured to be a part of such an amazing event and pride myself in working with such a talented and dedicated team stepping-up to make such a positive impact in our local community”.
