Donate Used Computers to the DI
Boxing Day is a secular holiday following Christmas that includes a tradition of giving money and other gifts to less fortunate people. This year, celebrate Boxing Day and this season of giving by donating your used computer to the DI’s Computers for Low Income Calgarians (CLIC) program.
“Having a computer helps me job search,” says Steve. “I email employers. I also email family. It keeps me connected.” Without a computer, it’s easy to disassociate and become isolated.
In 2010, the DI rebuilt and distributed 669 computers. Demand has since increased. In 2011, the DI received 706 requests for computers, and, because of the donation supply, has only been able to distribute 397.
Donate your used computer to the DI’s CLIC program. The DI will erase any data from your hard drive before refurbishing and distributing it, destroying all electronic data.
Any components we cannot use, we will recycle.
This season of giving, donate your used computer to the DI. By giving, we all receive.

I work as an office manager at a local software company, ICEsoft Technologies. We have several thin monitors, an equal number of large (deep) monitors, printers etc. I am not sure what else is collecting dust in the back room. Would you be interested in any of this hardware? If yes, would you be willing to pick it up? We are located near Sait.
My office number is 403 663 3322 x 338. However I work part-time and am probably more readily reached by email.
I hope that you can use some or all of this stuff, as it seems a shame to dump it all.
Take care,
Debbie
